How to make banana bread with chocolate chips
What I love the most about this easy banana bread recipe is that it is mixed with one bowl!
Banana puree Start with super ripe bananas, then stir in the melted butter. No blender needed for this one! You can mix it all up with a fork or a sturdy wooden spoon.
COMBINE WET AND DRY INGREDIENTS Add the rest of the wet ingredients, followed by the dry ingredients.
ADD THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS Finally, just stir in the mini chocolate chips and pour into a lightly greased loaf pan.
How long to bake banana bread
You’ll want to make banana bread at 350 degrees F. for 50 minutes up to one hour. A toothpick inserted in the center of the banana bread should come out clean when it is completely baked.
Try not to overbake the banana bread or it may become dry.
How to keep banana bread moist?
This chocolate chip banana bread recipe is super moist and delicious right from the start. If you want to keep the banana bread moist, I recommend letting the banana bread cool completely before wrapping it tightly in plastic wrap.
Place the wrapped banana bread in a zippered container to make sure oxygen can’t reach it, then store on the counter for up to 5 days. You can also store it in the fridge for up to 8 days.
Can you freeze banana bread?
YES! You can definitely freeze banana bread! I love to make banana bread when I have plenty of ripe bananas to use, then store the chilled bread in the freezer (wrap in plastic wrap and store in a zip lock bag), to up to 3 months!
Allow the banana bread to thaw in the refrigerator before slicing.
Can I make banana bread into muffins?
YES! You can definitely turn this recipe from a loaf into individual muffins. Cooking time would decrease to approx. 20 to 22 minutesor until muffins are cooked through.
